How lucky Year 6 were to visit Teign Heritage Centre in Teignmouth to learn about the way entertainment in the town has changed over time.
Looking at photographs they were able to see the impact of the railway and the way the Den has changed over time.
Then they split into three rotating groups to dance (in the old fashioned way), dress up in the bathing costumes of yesteryear including mop caps and knitted costumes, perform Punch and Judy routines, undertake a treasure hunt in the gallery and much more.
On the return walk to school, the buzz was infectious as everyone shared their favourite parts of the trip and recalled some of their new learning. All in all a grand day out!
